NOTTINGHAM’S intu Victoria Centre won’t be the only one getting a new look when one of Europe’s top beauty brands opens this summer.
KIKO MILANO has chosen the centre to open its first-ever store in the Midlands, bringing its popular brand of cosmetics to the region for the first time.
The store, which will open in the former Phones4U unit on the lower mall at intu Victoria Centre, will feature a range of fashionable make-up, face and body treatments when it opens later this year.
Nigel Wheatley, general manager at intu Victoria Centre, said: “KIKO is the latest high profile retailer that has come into the centre over the past 18 months and we are very much looking forward to it opening in the summer.
“Since starting the remodelling works at the centre we have attracted brands such as Urban Outfitters, Office, Superdry and River Island to intu Victoria Centre which has been fantastic news for our customers.
“There is a huge number of students living in Nottingham, and we have every confidence that they will be delighted to see KIKO open at the centre and that it will trade well.”
The £40m remodelling and refurbishment works at intu Victoria Centre are due to complete later this year, delivering a comprehensive upgrade of the centre including new floors, ceilings, lighting, toilets and entrance features – many of which customers have seen take shape over recent months.
Work is now underway on the centre’s new catering cluster with feature entrance around the Grade II listed Clocktower on Milton Street, with restaurants including handmade burger Co, Coast 2 Coast, Tortilla and Ed’s Easy Diner already confirmed.
Janine Bone, regional centre director for the Midlands at intu, added: “The remodelling and refurbishment has provided enhanced shop frontages, increased visibility, high quality finishes throughout and a large event area which enable us to deliver compelling experiences that attract customers more often, for longer and in turn, help our retailers to flourish.”
