There’s plenty of fun and free activities for all the family, including crafts, reading corner, soft play and face painting at Nottingham Castle in June.
Little ones can meet Peppa Pig and George, while they can learn to line dance with book-giving charity, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Every child gets a free book at the event, plus a free Bookstart bear if they follow a trail of paw prints running from the Castle down to Central Library.
Entry is completely FREE. Families need to have valid Citycard to pick up their entry voucher from a city library or the Tourist Information Centre in town. If you don’t have a Citycard, you can head to the library, sign up for one and pick up your voucher at the same time.
This is all part of National Bookstart Week (6 - 12 June) and the event is run by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Bookstart and city libraries.
