Green Gym

Uxbridge Green Gym is a 3 hour sessions aiming to improve volunteers health and wellbeing through practical conservation.

Uxbridge Green Gym runs weekly, every Wednesday 10:45am at Hillingdon House Farm

The intu Uxbridge Green Gym meets every Wednesday to improve the green space behind Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Centre, where we manage a wildflower meadow, pond and hedgerows and help to manage the wider site around the River Pinn. We complete different activities like building bird boxes, planting trees and cutting back vegetation. All our tasks are suited for a variety of fitness levels and no previous experience is needed to join!

Green Gym sessions aim to improve volunteers health and wellbeing through practical conservation. Volunteers are improving green spaces for local people, spending time in nature and keeping active - exercise to make a difference!

Volunteering is free, simple and no experience is necessary. It is ideal for learning new practical skills such as gardening, construction, and conservation. Meet like-minded people and improve your health and well-being. For more information contact Sarah Pollet via sarah.pollet@tcv.org.uk  or by calling 07801686014.

Volunteers are advised to wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor practical work and the day’s weather – we’re out in rain or sunshine!

TCV provides tea, coffee and light refreshments (you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch) as well as gloves, tools and instruction!
