A nationwide celebration of storytelling...
intu Uxbridge will be supporting national storytelling week with a string of exciting activities as it marks the fifteenth Annual National Storytelling Week, from 31 Jan – 7 February.
There will be a book giveaway all week, as the centre invites both children and adults to escape into a world of fantasy by helping themselves to a book, free of charge. One adult book case will be in the lounge area and one children’s bookcase in the play area where shoppers can take one book each to enjoy at their leisure.
Marketing manager for intu Uxbridge, Craig Higgins, says:
“Storytelling is an essential part of growing up, and even for an adult reading a good book is always a real joy to get lost in a captivating story line.
“We are proud to support the annual campaign that fuels the imagination of all ages.”
The centre will see professional storyteller, Rosie Hudson, who supported the intu Uxbridge Get into Reading campaign last year, read passages from her favourite books in an interactive creative session which promises to thrill and excite.
