We’re searching for children, aged 8-11, to take part in our Panel of Fun; a special team that will advise us on how to make intu Potteries even more enjoyable. This dream job could be theirs for the full year and will involve visiting the centre on school holidays and some weekends to test new toys, chat about what kids want to see in centre and
recommend lots of other fun things to do!
You could also win you and your friends a private screening at Cineworld.
In return, panel members will get a mix of toys and treats, as well as intu gift cards to buy something special!
Any interested candidates can apply by simply telling or showing us why they are the perfect candidate. This can be done in the following ways:
Writing a letter (no more than 500 words)
Send us a video (talking or singing)
Paint a picture or make a collage
Each entry should be titled “why I should be picked” and submitted at our customer service desk on the upper mall by Clintons or via email@example.com
For more information or to pick up an application form please visit our customer services desk on the upper mall or download it here.
Deadline for applications is 17 June 2016. A panel of judges will review all entries, and short-listed applications will be invited for an interview at intu Potteries shortly after.
Panel Of Fun FAQ
What is the Panel Of Fun?
The Panel of Fun (POF) are two children who are “employed” by the centre to act as our advisors in all things fun. This involves lots of different activities such as testing new toys to find out what will be the best one to buy this Christmas, advising us on how to decorate the parent rooms, modelling the latest fashions or telling us which characters they’d like to see visit the centre – loads of different things! We hope that the panel will often get features in The Sentinel and other local media too.
Who can apply?
Kids aged 8-11 who are prepared to come into the centre for activities throughout the year. Approx. once a month usually timed around weekends and school holidays.
How long is the job for?
It’s for approx. 12 months so we’d look at appointing the new panel around the same time next year.
What’s in it for applicants?
The kids appointed to the panel not only get to do loads of fun stuff but also get paid for their time in a mixture of gift cards, toys and other treats.
How do they apply?
We want to hear from the kids themselves how they will bring fun to the job and what makes them the perfect candidate. They can tell us this by writing 500 words about themselves, telling us about themselves in a video, by performing an original song, painting a picture or making a collage – anything creative really that says “Why I Should Be Picked”.
What’s the deadline for applications?
All applications need to be received by intu Potteries no later than 5pm on Friday 17 June 2016.
Where do they send their application?
They can apply in centre by completing the application form and attaching to a printed version of their “Why I should be picked” or put in an envelope with a memory stick containing a recording of their video or song etc. They should hand this in at the customer service desk on the upper mall by Clintons.
They can also apply via email at firstname.lastname@example.org attaching their “Why I should be picked” and including the following information:
What happens after they apply?
The applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges and a shortlist will be invited for an interview at intu Potteries. Unsuccessful candidates will receive a letter from intu Potteries. The successful kids will then be invited to a launch event in the centre with local media.
