The results are in and Pret A Manger has been named ‘People’s Choice’ for excellent customer service.  intu Milton Keynes invited the people of MK to vote for this prestigious award following National Customer Service Week in October.

The public voted through a web poll on the Shopping Centre’s website and social media.  There were 26 finalists and the competition was close but Pret emerged triumphant with 26% of the vote.  The award was presented to Assistant Manager KatyaSoothill and the team on Friday 7 November.

Katya commented:  “We’re just trying to make every customer happy and give them a pleasant experience.  It’s really nice to be recognised for our customer service.”

Martin Hindson, General Manager at intu Milton Keynes, said:  “Customer service makes such a difference to the customer experience.  I was pleased the competition was close as it shows a high standard across the board.  I would like to congratulate Pret for their ‘People’s Choice’ win.  I would also like to congratulate all the stores who performed highly in the National Customer Service Week retailer awards.”

National Customer Service Week ran from 6 – 10 October. intu Milton Keynes presented its top performing retailers with an award following a yearlong ‘mystery shop’.  On four separate occasions, each retailer was visited and marked on their customer service.  The number one retailer with an incredible 97.25% was Lush.  In second place was Ed’s Dinerette and third place went to the intu House Keeping team with 97%.  New Look received an award for the ‘Most Improved’ retailer with an impressive 24.17% increase on last year’s performance.  37 of the stores achieved over 80%.
