With Mother’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d share with you some ideas from my day with intu Milton Keynes.
If you’re a mum looking for some pamper time for yourself or you want to buy something special for your mum, nan or someone who is just like a mum, you are sure to like some of these gifts.
My first stop with intu Milton Keynes started with a wash and blow dry in Rush, and I wasn’t expecting the beautiful salon upstairs! It was spacious, modern and relaxing and the staff were very friendly. It was a real treat and I felt fabulous walking out with my shiny bouncy curls.
I had never thought of getting my mum a blow dry as a gift, but what a brilliant idea! Every mum deserves to feel pampered and have a day off from the chore of doing our own hair!
The cost for my blow dry was £35, which I think is worth the money to feel fabulous for a day.
Debenhams - Nars makeup experience
Next it was on to Debenhams to have a full makeup experience with Nars! I was greeted by Becky and she instantly put my mind at ease that this wasn’t a scary experience. I honestly have always dreaded someone else doing my makeup because it might not turn out how I like it (the norm) but she started to contour with the Laguna liquid bronzer and I said to myself, stop everything you know, this is how you contour!
I asked Becky to give me a fresh Spring look and she nailed it. I was so happy with the look and it lasted all day and into the evening.
Overall, it was really nice to feel pampered and I felt it was a great learning experience as I’ve been practising all of the techniques I learnt, and I feel more confident in trying new them now.
There was no cost for the experience, and I’ve listed the products used to get my Spring look in my Instagram highlights if you would like to have a look.
If you want to stop for a spot of lunch, Five Guys is one of the best places to get a burger. The food is cooked fresh on order and is always presented well.
My burger, chips and banana milkshake came to £16. I normally go for a refillable drink, but I thought I’d try out the milkshake and the rumours are right, it was delicious. I would say the food is closer to restaurant quality, but it is in a fast food style.
My son loves sitting in the Intu Milton Keynes Five Guys on the top floor as he can watch the Frog Clock blow bubbles out. It really is a shopping centre that has something for everyone!
Shopping in intu Milton Keynes was a unique experience, it had everything and more, from the polite and helpful staff, to product knowledge and quality.
Waterstones had so many great books for Mother’s Day - one of my favourites being Giovanna Fletchers new book, ‘Letters on Motherhood’ which I had to grab for myself, from my son. He’s only 2 so needs a little guidance (that’s my excuse anyway) and lots of books from your little ones to mum that you can read together.
I was really impressed with New Looks’ Mother’s Day stand which was full of lovely gifts, from bubble bath, plants, a ‘cool nana’ mug, to candles and lots of other accessories and fun little bits to make her smile. If she (or you) are a fan of gin, they had a great gin cocktail kit too.
Debenhams have gifts for Mothers Day dotted around the store, but the staff were very helpful in pointing out where I could find what I wanted. They had a lovely garden themed display on the first floor where I picked up my mother in-law a pot with a ‘grow your own plant’ which I know she’ll love and be able to keep.
We all know mothers deserve the world, but we can’t buy that, so head to intu Milton Keynes whether you want to pamper her or find the perfect gift to open, you are sure to find it here.
