'What makes me smile’ poem competition

For your chance to win, enter our competition and remind people about all the positive and happy things in life - past, present and future.

The events of the last few months have given us a fresh perspective on life and a new found appreciation for the people and places around us.  It’s really important for us to all focus on the good things in life and what makes us smile.  So in partnership with MyMiltonKeynes, we're inviting you to help us share some positive vibes, by taking part in our happy poem writing competition.

Your poem should remind people about all the positive and happy things in life - past, present and future. It could include positive memories you've made during lock down, things that have happened to make you smile: Perhaps activities you've done as a family that life is normally simply too busy for. Did someone learn how to ride a bike? Discover a new hobby? Did you finally complete a task that's been on the list for what feels like forever?! Did you go for a walk and discover somewhere beautiful for the first time? What are you looking forward to when life returns to normal?

The competition is open for all to enter, whether you're writing as an individual or a family.

The winning entry, selected by the intu Milton Keynes and MyMiltonKeynes’ teams, will receive a £100 intu gift card.

How to enter:

To enter, write your poem on a piece of paper and decorate it (not essential) and send it to info@perception-pr.co.uk or send it as a direct message to intu Milton Keynes on Facebook.

Entries close on Sunday 21 June at 23.59. Entries will be shared on the Facebook page for all to enjoy.

Terms and conditions apply. Please see here for full details.
