National Public Awareness for Health Checks
Members of the public can fill out scratch cards with questions that ask which health services they currently use.
The NHS will be offering members of the public a free ‘mini check’ which will consist of a BMI test and a blood pressure test, both taken out by two pharmacists who will be present on the day.
Checks will take place in the private room (Screens will be unpacked and placed together to create the ‘private room’) to ensure that the members of public feel completely at ease. We will also be asking members of the public to write their opinion of the NHS/the event on ‘selfie clouds’.
These will be stuck up on the privacy screens, and we may ask some of the public to have a photo next to their cloud. We have photo consent forms for all people to sign should they have a photograph taken. Every person that takes a free ‘mini check’ will be given a free first aid kit. Other people that are interested in the event will be given a goody bag with leaflets in about the NHS services.
