The story begins with a king that is fed up of hearing modern Christmas songs, what he wants is something more traditional, like the classic carols he grew up with. He is asking the people of Milton Keynes to put pen to paper and create a new Christmas song!
This Christmas carol competition ‘Bring Me a Song’ takes place at intu Milton Keynes in partnership with MK News on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December.
Budding carol writers from across Milton Keynes are invited to enter a song they have written. The brief is to create a new Christmas song which reflects the classic carol with traditional Christmas sentiments. The king will select his ten favourite songs to be performed at intu Milton Keynes throughout the weekend.
The king and the people of MK will vote for their favourite and the winner will be given the opportunity to professionally record their song.
Song writers can either find a singer to perform their song or perform it themselves, but they must be available on Saturday 6 or Sunday 7 December. Entries are being accepted now, those interested need to contact Yaw Asiyama: email@example.com, by Monday 1 December.
