Beaverbrooks at intu Metrocentre has undergone a significant refurbishment and to celebrate its grand reopening and new OMEGA Boutique, is giving shoppers the chance to bag themselves £1,000 worth of jewellery – and all they have to do is crack a code!
To mark the grand re-opening and to celebrate the national jeweller’s 100th birthday, Beaverbrooks is hosting a grand giveaway instore from 10am on Saturday 3rd August 2019.
Today, the retailer has 71 stores nationwide, but the Beaverbrooks story began in Belfast back in 1919, when three Adlestone brothers moved to the city to pursue their passion for fine jewellery, selling silverware from a suitcase. Just one year later, the brothers swapped a suitcase for a store, as they opened their first ‘Adlestones’ store in Belfast, which would later become Beaverbrooks as it is known today.
100 years on, in a nod to Beaverbrooks’ history, a £1,000 Beaverbrooks Gift Card will be locked within a suitcase in the revamped Metro store, with a combination lock for shoppers to attempt to crack.
Customers will get one attempt to guess the combination – and one lucky shopper who cracks the code and successfully opens the suitcase will win a £1,000 shopping spree instore.
Sue Cuthbertson, store manager at Beaverbrooks at intu Metrocentre, said: “We are beyond excited to unveil our newly refurbished store, which has undergone 10 week redesign including a 4.5 week closure period. The store has been extended by 1,100 square feet to accommodate a brand new OMEGA Boutique - the first of its kind in the North East - and the latest Breitling Showroom.
“This luxurious store transformation and extension to our luxury Swiss watch offering supports Beaverbrooks’ commitment of providing the best quality product and giving our customers an exceptional shopping experience.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to take part in our suitcase challenge and to see the delights of our new store. We’re so proud of all of the hard work involved in making this come to life and hope shoppers can join us for a celebratory glass of fizz over our reopening weekend.”
