Triple Two Coffee opens its doors at intu Merry Hill

Triple Two Coffee received a ‘latte’ love from shoppers at intu Merry Hill this week after opening the doors of its new coffee shop.

Triple Two Coffee received a ‘latte’ love from shoppers at intu Merry Hill this week after officially opening the doors of its new coffee shop, creating 10 new jobs at the centre.

The Swindon-originated coffee brand offers customers handcrafted, speciality quality coffee alongside a selection of delicious, freshly prepared pastries, cakes and a varied lunch menu, including over 20 vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. Customers can also enjoy freshly baked pizza as a tasty treat to refuel while shopping.

As well as the first 200 customers through the doors being treated to free coffee, shoppers were also able to tuck into a delicious slice of pizza during lunchtime and one lucky customer even had the chance to win a month’s supply of coffee.

As part of the brand’s commitment to cutting down on waste, customers that bring a reusable cup to the shop will receive a 25p discount on their purchase and a free coffee will be offered with every purchase of a reusable Triple Two ‘KeepCup’.

The launch of the new branch, which has nine other shops across the UK, forms part of Triple Two Coffee’s plan to open 200 sites across the UK in the next five years and intu Merry Hill’s commitment to enhancing the centre’s shopping environment and facilities.

Triple Two Coffee, which is located outside Boots in the centre, is the latest eatery to set-up shop at intu Merry Hill and will join a strong portfolio of other brands such as Muffin Break, Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Soho Coffee Co.

David Hodgetts, co-founder and director of Triple Two Coffee, said: “It was great to welcome our first customers through the doors on Tuesday and see them enjoying the wide range of delicious food and coffee we have on offer.

“We’re so much more than a coffee shop and we’re dedicated to making every visit a personal experience. We hope our new café at intu Merry Hill will become shoppers’ one-stop-shop where they can refuel whilst shopping.”

Dan Murphy, regional centre director at intu Merry Hill, said: “We’re committed to improving the leisure facilities at the centre and it’s great to have such a contemporary and fast-growing coffee brand to add to our selection of eateries where shoppers can take a break and relax.

“We’re also currently looking at ways we can work with our retailers to provide more sustainable options to their customers and Triple Two Coffee’s initiatives set a great example on how to achieve this.”
