Hungry visitors looking to refuel will be enticed by a range of locally-produced burgers, beverages and barbequed meats at intu Merry Hill’s very first street food event taking place at The Waterfront.
Street food favourites from across the Midlands, such as burger brand The Patty Freaks, will bring their range of delicious creations to The Waterfront on Friday 10th May. Visitors will also be treated to live music and entertainment while they munch down regionally-sourced delights.
The free event, taking place between 4pm - 9pm, marks the first time the Midland’s biggest retail and leisure destination has worked with Stourbridge-based Street Food Affair, who regularly organise foodie fairs at The Bonded Warehouse.
Jaspal Singh, asset surveyor at intu Properties Plc, said: “Good food is one of the best ways to bring friends and families together. We’ve teamed up with Street Food Affair to give our local visitors, office workers and those based farther afield the chance to try something different at The Waterfront.
“Some of the best and most well-loved street food brands from all over the Midlands will be joining us in May and we’re looking forward to trying their different dishes. There will be something for all tastes and preferences to enjoy.”
Sarah New, founder of Street Food Affair, adds: “I’ve been running Street Food Affair at The Bonded Warehouse for two years now and the response has been phenomenal. Our ethos has always been to support local talent and bring the community together.
“We’re very excited to be able to take what we’ve created in Stourbridge and bring it to The Waterfront at intu Merry Hill’s Waterfront and hopefully attract both our regular followers and a new audience. There will be some old favourites returning and we will also be supporting some new start-ups who are sure to make an impact.”
The event will take place on Friday 10th May from 4-9pm at The Waterfront at intu Merry Hill, The Waterfront. Entrance and parking is free.
