intu Merry Hill’s newest live entertainment venue ‘Red By Night’ is set to bring unforgettable comedy to the Waterfront this month

intu Merry Hill’s newest live entertainment venue ‘Red By Night’ is set to bring unforgettable comedy to the Waterfront, including sensational stand-up and an unmissable live drag show.

Live entertainment lovers will be able to enjoy a night of laughter on Saturday 29th February, headlined by one of comedy’s most original voices, Lou Sanders. Lou is reigning champion of the most recent Taskmaster series and has made numerous TV appearances including BBC Two’s Live at the Apollo, Russell Howard’s Good News and QI.

On Friday 6th March, fans of camp comedy cabaret will also be treated to an exclusive show from three of the UK’s hottest up-and-coming Drag Queens: Scarlet SoHandsome, Annabelle Lecter and Vivienne Lynsey.

The new events form part of Red By Night’s partnership with Midlands based organisation CAN Comedy, which brings top circuit comedy acts and TV regulars to the venue, all at affordable prices.

Starting from 8pm, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the lively performances, followed by an after-show DJ until 2am, with an array of contemporary drinks available throughout the night to help event goers get into the party spirit.

Kyle Wright, Waterfront manager at intu Merry Hill, said: “The Waterfront continues to be a thriving success, attracting unique and local businesses to the area and Red by Night is no exception. We are passionate about offering our visitors new experiences at the Waterfront and look forward to welcoming guests for a night out like no other.”

Vicki Wilkes, director at Red by Night, said: "We love to provide high-quality entertainment to our customers and are excited to be bringing something new and different for them to enjoy. Since we opened our doors late last year, we’ve worked hard to bring great live shows to the Waterfront and we hope our brand-new comedy and drag entertainment will become a permanent feature, attracting new and familiar faces alike.”
