Primark will be the latest major tenant to expand at intu Merry Hill since intu took full ownership of the centre in 2016 and subsequently announced plans to spend more than £100 million refurbishing its malls and building a major leisure extension.
River Island, Topshop and Topman, and JD Sports have also doubled their space and Next will launch one of its biggest stores in the country at intu Merry Hill this year.
Work has now begun on Primark’s new store which will have a sales space of 60,000 sq ft.

At 1.7m sq ft, intu Merry Hill is already a major super regional shopping and leisure destination, attracting 21 million visitors a year.
Primark has today officially launched its newly refurbished and extended store at intu Merry Hill. The store is now over 70 per cent larger, with two floors of fashion over 60,000 sq ft of retail space, and over 80 additional jobs have been created.

A new 'Peaky Blinders' themed bar is now open next to intu Merry Hill at The Waterfront.
The bar is the first venture into the pub industry for owners Jason Montgomery and Spida Price, who are from Brierley Hill.
