B&M has today officially opened it's new store at intu Merry Hill shopping centre in the West Midlands.
The new store, which will open in the former Toys R Us store has undergone an internal and external refurbishment programme and created 70 new jobs in the local area.
The opening, which took place on Friday 30 November at 8am saw the Mayor, Cllr Alan Taylor, and Mayoress, Winifred Taylor officially unveil the store alongside local charity, Wild Acre Rescue.
Store manager, Paul White, said: “The team from Wild Acre Rescue really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for vulnerable animals in the community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Friday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers and customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, home ware, pet products, and health & beauty and seasonal range. The store will also boast an extensive DIY, decorating and furniture range.
