The Business Support Assistant - HR will be responsible for supporting the delivery ofaccurate Human Resources reporting to the centres senior management team, headsof department, regional HRBP, HR administration, recruitment and payrolldepartment. The role will also involve providing front line advice andsupport for a range of HR activities including recruitment, welfare, grievance,investigations, occupational health minute taking, work variations, absence andemployment contracts. The role forms a key part of the wider Business support function which provides a pivotal function ensuring that theCentre remains efficient and consistent in the delivery of its services.
To be successful inthis role it is expected that candidates will be a highly organised andarticulate individual who has the upmost discretion in dealing with sensitiveinformation at all times. On a day to day basis the role willinvolve the successful candidate to assist the HRC and department managers with disciplinary, grievances and investigations, taking minutes and producingformal correspondence to outcomes of these meetings. The role alsoincludes proactively working with recruiting managers at the centre andassisting them with advertising vacancies, sifting and shortlisting applications, interview scheduling, interviewing and group assessments. In addition, the role will involve the preparation of new starter paperwork, contracts and leavers forms, inputting of absence notifications, checking and completion of payroll information and general HR administration.
To be considered for this position candidates will have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak confidently to a range of stake holder throughout the business. The post holder will also be able to prioritise workload to meet the demands of the business support team and be flexible and adaptable to the requirement of the business. They will also have a high degree ofcompetence in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and mail merge.
It is anticipated that candidates will have significant experience working in a HR role, preferably holding a CIPD Level 3 or higher.
