The ribbed knit

This year we see the ribbed knit emerging as one of AW15’s favourite takes on our go-to winter staple. Carrying over from the 70s trend of the summer, a grooved weave is a key investment for this season. Layer lightweight pieces under chunkier knits in warm neutrals, khaki, autumnal hues or bold blues.

The box cut

A boxy knit, especially in a cute cropped cut, was a signature knitwear look of Paris Fashion Week all those months ago in February. The boxy shape lends itself to bold prints and bright block colour, perfect for letting your knitwear take centre stage. With its laid-back, slouchy fit, this look can be feminised with skinny jeans or an A-line midi skirt and statement necklace.

The roll-neck

Whether you call it a roll, turtle or polo neck - high neck knitwear is one of this season’s biggest trends. Perfect for transeasonal wear, roll necks can be layered underneath a pinafore, styled underneath a blazer or thicker high neck knits can be teamed team with high waisted jeans to complete the look. Either way, we’re loving the versatility of this jumper.
