With the exciting pop of a cork, we were pleased to see that the Self Portrait showcase was in full swing when we arrived at Selfridges. Prosecco was flowing, including a non-alcoholic cocktail for those driving, and canapés that frankly, looked too good to eat (that doesn’t mean we managed to resist).
The London-based womenswear label has quite the celebrity following, with Beyoncé, Meghan Markle and Khloe Kardashian amongst its loyal fan base, and it's not wonder when each collection seems to effortlessly top the last. But what does the SS18 range have to offer?
A mixture of covetable day dresses, delicate cocktail frocks and sartorially inspiring separates were on display, showcasing the brand’s unique sense of style at its finest. Red, white and black came together with fluid silhouettes in a line-up that screamed: summer.
After looking around and taking in the impressive range (we literally want it all), the models appeared, each wearing a key piece from Han Chong’s collection. Cut-out shoulders, pretty prints and striking hues were just some of the eye-catching details on display.
As contemporary femininity runs throughout all of the label’s collections, we were elated with the signature eyelet lace, bold ruffles and sheer panels that made an appearance here.
Key speakers from the brand talked through the collection of dresses, jumpsuits and separates; offering style advice and consultations for customers who need the outfit of the summer — don't we all?
Somewhat of a running theme for Self Portrait, this collection's array of beautiful pieces is perfect for special occasions, like all those summer weddings ahead. From the bright colours and floral prints to the subtle pleats and light-as-air lace, you'll want to RSVP to every event with these dresses in your wardrobe.
After dreaming of all the garden parties and cocktail evenings we could be the best dressed at, the usually shy designer Han Chan stood proudly beside the models and the collection's key pieces.
Don't miss out on one of the most anticipated SS18 drops! You can shop the Self Portrait collection in Selfridges now, or forever regret it.
