Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough is literally the holy grail of ice cream. And if you say you’ve never picked out all the bits of cookie leaving a tub of (granted – extremely delish) vanilla ice cream, then you’re strange and/or lying.

Cookie dough. Is. Life.

So imagine our excitement when we heard that Ben & Jerry (aka the Gods of ice cream) have answered our prayers and created snackable cookie dough – glorious globs of chocolate chip dough packaged up in a bag for you to snack on to your heart’s content. We know.

Before you get too excited, there’s a slight catch. These are currently in the testing stage, therefore only available in Vermont (the original home of Ben & Jerry’s). We’re not crying, you are.

The makers have been sending out tester packs to ‘Foodstagrammers’ such as Junk Banter and Snack Betch, whilst they wait to see if the little drops of heaven do well in store.

Innovation manager Jody Eley acknowledged in a recent press release via Brit + Co that “fans have been asking for ‘just the chunks’ for a while now,” and confirmed that they will be “bringing cookie dough to our Vermont shops to start [and]if it does well, it may be available online and in other distribution channels later this year.”

If our opinions are anything to go by, we predict they’ll be making their way to a frozen aisle near you sharpish.
