Drop what you’re doing and run to the shops because we’ve just found 9 exciting new snacks that you won’t be able to stop thinking about. And thanks to this never-ending summer we’ve included a host of mouthwatering brand new ice cream flavours along with some other sun-inspired gems. Kinder Bueno ice cream? Pina Colada Bounty? That’s right, these are the treats your sweet tooth has been craving.
Kinder Bueno ice cream
Everyone loves Kinder Bueno, right? Well the nutty chocolate bar has had the makeover of a lifetime, with the launch of not one, not two, but THREE new ice cream-based snacks. You can now while away those sunny afternoons with a Kinder Ice Cream Sandwich, a Kinder Ice Cream Stick, or our personal favourite, the Kinder Bueno Ice Cream Cone. The other good news is that this snack clocks in at a mere 206 calories so we’re pretty sure we can make room for one in our daily calorie intake. Or two, or three….
Pina Colada Bounty
Summer isn’t summer without a poolside piña colada and now you can take that delicious pineapple and coconut taste home in a chocolate bar (alcohol-free, of course). Yes, the classic Bounty bar has been upgraded with an injection of pineapple juice, and if you ask us it’s a match made in heaven. You can buy these tropical snacks online right now but odds on it won’t be long before they hit the shelves in your local shop.
Oreo Joy Fills
As if classic Oreo biscuits weren’t delicious enough, the brand new Joy Fills range means you can now scoop up handfuls of them in their new bitesize crispy nuggets form. Like the name suggests, these are little pillows of pleasure with a chocolatey wafer-style outer shell containing that sweet creamy filling we all know and love. These have been found at Co-op, and you can even pick up a caramel-flavoured version! Our tip? Use them as cereal and kickstart your day with a super-sweet bowl of cookie delights.
Orange Kit Kats
Everyone’s favourite chocolate bar has been given a mouthwatering upgrade. You can now get hold of orange-flavoured chunky Kit Kats, which means four layers of crunchy wafer, surrounded by silky smooth orange chocolate. Sure, it isn’t quite as weird and wonderful as some of the flavours in Japan (baked potato flavour Kit Kat? No thanks) but it looks set to be a firm-favourite of UK snack-lovers. We’ve found the tasty chocolate orange flavour on sale at Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Ocado. Go, go go!
Halo Top Birthday cake ice cream
Turns out birthday wishes do come true. Halo Top is guilt-free ice cream – honestly! Swapping traditional sugar for zero-calorie sweetener Stevia, and enriched with an impressive amount of protein (average 18g per tub!), Halo Top have just launched their iconic birthday cake flavour in the UK, and we can’t wait to get our mitts around the rainbow sprinkled sweet treat. Snap up a tub at Tesco or Ocado, like, today!
Milka choco jelly
Chocolate fans will know nothing comes close to the smooth creamy taste of Milka (it’s all thanks to Alpine milk, apparently). But what if we said you can now buy Milka chocolate made with multi-coloured jelly beans and pop rocks dotted through it? Game-changer. Chocolate purists might want to give this a miss, but that just means more for the rest of us!
Twix white chocolate
Hold the front page – the legendary white chocolate Twix is now on sale in the UK. Just like a regular Twix they’re made from crunchy biscuit topped with a layer of gooey caramel but that genius white chocolate coating makes them even more yummy than the original. The only drawback is that they’re limited edition so hurry before they sell out. We’ve recently found them at our local newsagents, so keep your eyes peeled!
Kit Kat ice cream
The brains at Kit Kat HQ are ruling the roost this summer. Not content with putting out orange-flavoured Kit Kats (see above), they’ve also created these amazing-looking ice cream snacks which feature a crunchy wafer and chocolate coating. So far they’ve only been spotted in the Canary Islands but it’s only a matter of time before they make it to the UK.
