Veganuary is over, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue cutting down on meat where possible! Whether you’re a fully fledged plant-based eater or simply trying to cut down on your meat and dairy intake – we’ve rounded up the best healthy vegan snacks to get you through the day. Happy snacking!

Mixed nuts

Nuts are packed with magnesium and good fats, which helps to keep cortisol (stress) levels low – which is seriously needed for most of us! They’re also super tasty and snackable – have them whist working or watching your favourite movie…

Coconut shavings

According to a recent study by Columbia University, the smell and taste of coconuts can help return your blood pressure to normal levels during times of stress. Coconuts also provide a natural source of quick energy, which is perfect for the 3pm slump.

Protein balls

Protein balls are not only an excellent source of protein, but also a great source of healthy carbohydrates, giving you endless energy. They’re also extremely tasty and available in a variety of flavours.

Salted popcorn

Popcorn is high in fibre and low in sugar, making it the perfect filling snack – plus you can get it in little bags so you can easily portion control. It’s also impossible to stain clothes with popcorn or make a mess, therefore it’s ideal if you want the smallest clean-up job possible!

Bananas are the age old on-the-go snack that never fails. Rich in potassium and fibre, just grab one in the morning and breakfast is sorted; they’ll keep you going until lunch, trust us! And the best thing about them? They’re in nature’s natural casing (a banana skin) so no cutlery or crockery (or washing up) needed.

Not the most conventional snack, we know, but hear us out… Olives are high in good fats and extremely tasty, so if you’re a savoury person rather than sweet, then they could be the snack you never knew you needed. Whether you go black, green, pitted or stuffed, olives can be spooned into bowls and snacked on with lunch, dinner or simply on their own. Olives are packed full of Oleic acid too, which keeps skin soft, supple and healthy – bonus!
