With the school holidays now here, lunch or dinner time is an essential part of any family day out whether you’re getting food to take away and eat outside or eat in. Knowing where to go that caters for little and big kids alike helps the day go more smoothly. We’ve done the leg work so you don’t have to, and rounded up the best kids’ menus in our intu centres. With sushi, pizza, and PERi-PERi chicken on the menu, there really is something for every(little)one…

Standout dish: Burger and chips

Bill’s offers a main and dessert as part of their kids’ menu for a nifty £5.95. Your little one’s can choose from British classics such as fish and chips and mac and cheese, and finish off with something sweet like chocolate mousse or ice cream. You really can’t go wrong with this one…

Age limit: Under 10

What you get: 1 main & 2 sides with the option to add dessert 

Best for: Chicken lovers

Standout dish: Anything with PERi-tamer sauce

Nando’s is an all-round crowd pleaser – and your kiddies will be no exception. On the Nandinos kids’ menu, choose between chicken burgers & wings or sweet potato and butternut patties for mini vegetarians. The variety of sides is also great, with a choice of chips, broccoli, sweet potato mash and little tomatoes to name a few.

What you get: Main, with option to add dessert

Best for: Adventurous eaters

Standout dish: Mini chicken katsu

The Wagamama kids’ menu is filled with mini versions of the adult classics. There’s a full veggie or ‘Yasai’ menu too, plus an option to ‘take the tofu challenge’ aka try a piece of tofu for free.

What you get: Burger, side and drink with option to add dessert for £1

Best for: A quick meal

Standout dish: Cheeseburger, of course

For a meal no one will complain about, take the kids to GBK. They even provide games on their kids’ menu and crayons for colouring in. Sold!

Pizza Express

Price: £7.25

What you get: Starter, main and dessert

Best for: Value for money 

Standout dish: Pasta Bianca

The Piccolo menu from Pizza Express includes Dough Balls, pizza, pasta or salad, a dessert, a bambochino plus an activity pack to keep the kiddies entertained. Phew – how’s that for great value?

YO! Sushi

Price: £6.50

Age limit: Under 12

What you get: Main, side, drink and extra edamame beans

Best for: Healthy food

Standout dish: Japanese fried chicken

The Mini Ninja kids’ menu at Yo! Sushi has been hand-picked by nutritionists to help contribute to a balanced diet, so you know your little ones are in good hands! With sushi, noodles and veg to choose from, as well as a fun ‘colour-me-in’ drawing and even some Japanese words to learn, YO! Sushi offers a super fun lunchtime for everyone involved.
