Umai Mi (pronounced ‘oo-mah-mee’) is a Japanese phrase that describes the moreish taste combination of sweet, sour, salty and bitter!

If you’re looking for a bite to eat during your shopping trip, or a more indulgent evening meal, Umai Mi is the place to be. The Pan-Asian restaurant is a fusion of traditional and modern cooking that will take you on a tasty culinary journey. Umai Mi also has a variety of drinks including beers, exotic cocktails and for a true taste of the Orient, why not try Japanese Sake.

George’s Great British Kitchen

Unique in the North East

Apple & Caramac crumble pie with ice cream

Founders Andrew and Nick knew they wanted George’s Great British Kitchen to be a place that celebrated British food, but in a totally unique way! That’s why every single dish on the menu has its own personality and something that makes it different to anything else. All of the dishes are created using carefully selected fresh ingredients, with nothing artificial added.

George’s are renowned for their fish and chips, but if you fancy something a bit different, you should try the chicken tikka masala pie! The pie combines two of the nation’s favourite dishes, it’s topped with bhaji onion rings and served with a pot of mango chutney.

We also recommend the comforting apple and Caramac crumble pie, drizzled with salted caramel sauce and a scoop of traditional vanilla ice cream.

Keep an eye out for when George’s Great British Kitchen  is opening back up soon.
