We'll be welcoming three new local brands after our involvement in national retail initiative, Hatch.
Hatch is an initiative that has been launched by Revo – a national organisation that helps retail, property and placemaking to thrive. The campaign offers entrepreneurs and budding business owners the opportunity to set up their own shops in popular retail destinations with rent, service charges and business rates covered for the first six weeks.
Here's our winners:
Design 44, who curate a range of quirky UK and Scandinavian gifts and homeware, will be opening its second shop in Derby as part of the scheme.
Design 44 strives to help small businesses have a retail platform in which to expand and sell their products. They source the very best design-led gifts and interiors from British, Danish and Dutch design.
Project D is a start-up bakery, that is focused on making doughnuts that blow people away. They take great pride in making and presenting their ever growing range of artisan doughnuts.
They take inspiration from local seasonal products, from current pop culture, and from anything that fills them with passion.
Solesmith’s mission is to put a spring in people’s steps with the best socks ever to give as gifts.
They are the cult personalised sock company, dying, printing, embroidering and creating personalised socks and gifts from their Derbyshire workshop (and soon from their shop at intu Derby).
Their range includes socks you can add your photos to, funny alcohol themed socks, personalised ‘no cold feet’ wedding socks and super fancy embroidered monogram socks.
