NORWICH City Football Club has launched its new Errea home kit for the 2015-16 Premier League season today in five locations.
The new kit which is inspired by 80 years at Carrow Road, was launched at 10am on the Jarrold catwalk at this year’s Royal Norfolk Show, as well as at the three Canaries Official club stores across the city and on an Errea bus situated at Carrow Road.
To mark the 80th anniversary, the club’s retail arm Canaries Official has taken inspiration from the ‘half and half’ home kit which was adopted in 1927 and worn for a total of twenty years, (the longest worn shirt in history).
Steve Balmer-Walters, Head of Retail at the club said: “The ethos behind the shirt has come from the kit worn at our first ever game at Carrow Road against West Ham in 1935. With it being the 80th anniversary at Carrow Road this year, we wanted to design a shirt that would truly reflect the club’s history and story.”
David McNally commented: “I’m really pleased with this year’s home kit as we enter the 2015-16 Premier League season. Our retail team has married the club’s history with modernisation creating a kit that I believe our fans will love.”
The price for the children’s shirt is £35; the price for an adult will be £48.
Balmer-Walters commented: “We’re delighted to freeze the price for children’s shirts once again. For the first time in six years there is a slight increase in the price of an adult shirt, but we have designed and created a unique shirt with Errea which is below the average price in the Premier League. Using a different technology for pressing together the design and fabric, we have really moved the kit forwards. By adding more detail to the shirt we have delivered a kit that is completely unique to us.”
The new kit is available to purchase now in all three stores, at the Canaries Official marquee at stand 435 and in the Jarrold tent on both days of the Royal Norfolk Show, as well as online on the Canaries Official website HERE.
