As Sales Manager, you’ll head up a department to drive a shopping environment that’s simply out of this world – and you’ll have plenty of freedom to do things your way too. You’ll plan, set targets, inspire your team and do everything you can to ensure every customer who walks through the door comes back to us again and again. Ultimately, it’s about delivering the best premium shopping experience around, taking responsibility for a multi-million pound turnover – and making sure our colleagues know just what it takes to put on a show.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone with a background in fashion retail. Someone who’s worked in a senior sales role before, or even as a store manager for a large fashion retailer – don’t worry, this isn’t a step down, it’s a huge operation, the bar’s set high and the rewards are pretty incredible too. A real leader with the ability to develop a team and be someone they can look up to, you’ll know exactly what it takes to deliver big results. Role Purpose: A sales floor role, focused on consistently delivering excellence in customer service and achieving KPIs through managing and coaching department sales teams, and role modelling desired behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages, drives and coaches the team to consistently achieve sales, Order In Store and Recognition targets., dealing effectively with underperformance and supporting training interventions
  • Exploits all opportunities to market, promote and sell House Brands, fully utilising multi-channel services to maximise sales.
  • Creates the ultimate VIP shopping experience for every customer by maximising the performance and relationships of all sales teams and Brand Partners in their department.
  • Develops the team to demonstrate enthusiasm for, and effectively Introduce customers to, all multi-channel services, and be confident in selling the features and benefits of multi- channel services to support store target achievement
  • Consistently demonstrates the ultimate VIP shopping experience for every customer, managing the customer relationship, seeking and responding to feedback in a commercial and positive way.
  • Creates theatre and discovers commercial opportunities at a local level to enhance sales and build customer loyalty, ensuring retail and visual standards are maintained at all times to maximise margin and minimise markdowns and stock loss.
  • Drives efficient and productive sales floor activities, ensuring staff coverage meets customer demand, and coaching and developing direct reports to respond to sales trends.
  • Proactively develops direct reports and maintains the Department’s Succession Plan, and utilises tools and support to deal quickly and effectively with underperformance.

Skills and Experiences required:

  • Relevant Retail experience with a consistent career path
  • Management of a customer facing sales team
  • Proven track record of results delivery through people
  • Demonstrates the capability to be a Duty Manager if required
