11 November to 8 December
While many of us gather with friends and family at Christmastime, sadly this is not the case for many older people who can find themselves feeling isolated and lonely. We have teamed up with Age UK Norwich to give presents to as many as possible to raise a smile. Your gift could make a difference to an older person living locally.
Simply pop your unwrapped gift in the Giving Box in St Stephens Arcade on lower ground mall, and we will do the rest. If you’re worried about it breaking, then please drop it off at the information desk on upper ground mall.
Here are a few gift ideas:
· Toiletries gift sets
· Hats, scarves and gloves
· Christmas decorations
· Puzzle books
· Mini games
· Craft kits (e.g knitting, crochet, embroidery)
Please note that we cannot accept electrical goods.
Gifts will be distributed at Age UK Norwich’s Marion Day Care Centre and also via their befriending service, which has volunteers providing companionship to lonely older people in our community. All gift donations must be made by Sunday 8 December so we can make sure they’re wrapped and ready to give out by Christmas.
