Access to the Curling rink can be accessed on the upper level of intu Braehead shopping centre between McDonalds and Pizza Hut
World Champion rinks Bingyu Wang from China, Scotland’s Eve Muirhead, and the Swiss rinks of Alina Paetz and Binia Feltscher will be joined by newly crowned European Champions Victoria Moiseeva from Russia and Olympic Silver medallists Margaretha Sigfridsson from Sweden in an attempt to wrest the title from 2016 defending Champion Silvana Tirinzoni from Aarau, Switzerland.
The competition will follow its traditional format with four sections of six teams playing a round robin format, starting on Thursday 19th January with the two best team in each section going forward to the quarter finals knockout stages on the Sunday.
In addition to the top four ranked Scottish teams, eleven other nations will be represented, featuring nine of the ten teams which recently contested the European ‘A’ Division Championships at Braehead in November.
